Hearts for Nepal Launches “Next Steps Home” to Secure the Future of Rescued Girls

Hearts for Nepal has announced the launch of Next Steps Home, a new initiative designed to provide long-term housing and stability for girls who have been rescued from human trafficking and exploitation.

The project aims to give these young women a safe and supportive environment where they can continue their education, receive mentorship, and prepare for independent living. The initiative represents an important step in helping survivors transition from rescue and recovery into a secure and hopeful future.

Human trafficking remains a major challenge in Nepal, where poverty and lack of opportunity often leave young girls vulnerable to exploitation. Organizations working in the region report that traffickers frequently target vulnerable families and children with false promises of employment or marriage before forcing them into exploitation.

The Next Steps Home initiative is designed to address this gap by providing a stable residence where rescued girls can continue developing life skills, pursue education, and receive emotional support after leaving protective care environments.

Leaders at Hearts for Nepal say the goal is to create a place where young women can grow into confident, self-sustaining adults who are equipped to build a healthy future.

The home will serve as a transitional environment focused on empowerment, personal growth, and long-term stability, ensuring that survivors have the resources they need to move forward with dignity and purpose.
